Guests are always welcome at any our our meetings and rides. It doesn't matter what kind of bike you have. Just Ride!
Our Chapter will soon be planning our first ride in April, if the snow ever stops! Watch for dates and places upcoming.
Our Akron Chapter 331 rides on the 2nd and 4th Sunday of the month and our Steel Valley Chapter 131 rides on the 1st and 3rd Sunday of the month. You can take advantage to ride with one of our chapters every weekend if you wish.

First Ride
Our first ride of 2011 well be a recap of Bill Kiraly's ride to the Behalt Cyclorama in Berlin, OH (near Millersburg). We'll meet at 8 a.m. for breakfast at Mi-Mi's Family Restuarant at 7528 Broadview Rd in Seven Hills and leave the restaurant at about 9 a.m. to travel south on some beautiful roads in Amish country. Our first destination is the Behat Cyclorama which is a circular painting close to 300 feet long and 10 feet tall depicting the history of the Amish people. You'll also have a chance to talk with friendly Amish people willing to answer your questions about their community, tour an Amish one-room school house, and visit an Amish barn complete with buggies. After the cyclorama and lunch, our afternoon will contiue through beautiful, meandering roads southwest of Cleveland and end eventually at Country Maid Ice Cream on 303 in Richfield.

We are the Cleveland Chapter of STAR Touring and Riding Association, Inc. If you are interested in meeting new people, seeing new sites and having fun, Chapter 178 might just be for you. Chapter 178 has two sanctioned rides each month April through October. Our rides take us to beautiful and interesting places all over Ohio. These chapter rides almost always start with breakfast and end with an ice cream stop! We have monthly meetings the 2nd Wednesday of every month at 6 p.m. for dinner and social hour. Cleveland STAR Chapter 178 is a local Chapter within the International STAR Touring and Riding Assoc. Our 178 STAR Chapter is located in Cleveland Ohio and began in 2001. We are a group of motorcycle enthusiasts, like yourself, that enjoy motorcycle riding. If you want to meet great people, go on great rides, see new sites, and have a good time, we'd like to meet you. Since our beginning in 2001, we’ve grown but have retained that small group atmosphere. We welcome all brands of motorcycles. Consumption of alcoholic beverages on sanctioned chapter rides is prohibited. We encourage new and interested Motorcyclists to attend a few meetings, join us on a few rides and experience “STAR#178” prior to joining our group. After experiencing our chapter you can then apply to join us as a new member. You must first become a member of STAR Touring and Riding before joining our chapter. If you have a new 1300 or above, you receive a 1 year membership from Star Motorcycles. We start riding in April (weather permitting) on the 2nd Saturday and the 4th Sunday of each month. We have monthly meetings to discuss rides, up-coming events, chapter business and to socialize. Some of our rides have been to Amish country, the Mohican area, Olgelbay, and Cabellas in W.V., Marblehead, AMA near Columbus, and Quaker Steak in Sharon, PA. We encourage good riding skills and take pride in modeling exceptional behavior. We have a lot of fun together as a group, and we are a family organization where children are always welcome.
